We have made a lot of progress in the building of the bread ovens! It will not be much longer until the ovens are complete and I can start baking the bread that will benefit the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
This upcoming Monday, a volunteer will come to the museum and will teach me how to properly use the ovens and how to bake the bread properly. On April 21, I will don my Union uniform and will start baking the bread in the same fashion that the soldiers did 150 years ago.
The local community has been very supportive of our fundraiser by helping us raise awareness of what will be happening at the museum. This morning ABC27 News stopped by to film a clip for tonights news at 5:30. Make sure to tune in and see what all is happening!
